Treatment for IV infiltration?

I had surgery on my left foot 6 weeks ago, which left me with 4 K wires sticking out of the tops of 2 of my toes. Last week, one of the toes became red, swollen and hot to touch. I then spent three days in hospital getting antibiotics through IV. The last bag of antibiotics would not go through, and the doctor ended up starting a new IV on the other arm. Now the first IV site has been red, swollen and very painful since I left hospital. I have been told that the IV 'infiltrated' and am wondering how to treat this, and how long it be like this? Do I need to go to the GP for this?

I think that you need to go to the gynecologist. There is a good chance that you are pregnant. If you don't have enough of the hormone in your system it wont show up in the urine. You can also have a pregnancy test done using a blood sample. I don't know if they do that at the doctor's office or just at the hospital. I drive a 03 Mercury Sable LS Premium Duratec 3.0L with about 105,000Miles on it. The car has been bucking pretty bad about a week ago but a quick check of the plugs revealed large gaps. So we bent them back to proper measurement for the car and problem seemed to be fixed for couple of days. Now the problem came back and it was acting the same for a little when earlier today there was a loud humming noise coming from somewhere in the car. I figured it was coming from the back of the car, but you know how difficult it is to diagnose sound when your driving. This was when I was climbing a hill but when I went down the other side of the hill the humming stopped. Then, every now and then, when I come to a stop the CD disk changer stops, interior and exterior lights go really dim with the music kicking back in but at about half the volume it was at. I have no idea whats going on with this car. Could this at all relate to the fuel pump or fuel filter?? Thanks for any help. -Andrew

These foreign students are almost like furnished products but free of cost ( however, Chinese/Indian education system are almost subsidized by the state, so these governments have already spent to make them graduate with a BS). These students work almost tirelessly in the graduate school to meet the deadlines set by industries without much complain (working almost 365 days, even during Christmas and Thanksgiving). For the industries (mostly owned by the US elites) this means good business.....even after the graduation they continue to do so (as they are always scared of losing their status). On the other hand, bringing international students is also a big margin profit, as you can send a higher percentage of your projects to the graduate school to be accomplished by least demanding international students (hiring full time workers will cost 5 times more approximately).You see, this situation hugely favors the US elites (the owners) who mostly buy out American politicians. I am not trying to be a cynical person, but that's what I can understand with a clear mind in my 6th year of Graduate studies as an international student (I'm going to defend my PhD soon). The US elites will keep the education system running this way as this strategy hugely favors them.

Need to work on notes?

Well, Im 13 years old, and a guy. I love music and singing. But only REAL music(60's,love Beatles). So for most of my singing, I just sing along to Beatles tunes and it seems to be working out great, every week my voice sounds better. But Im having problems higher up in my range(I usually sing Pauls parts/songs, which are generally the highest). In songs like All My Loving where he sings near the end "All my loving, oo ooo" I sorta have problems hitting the "oo" part. Im pretty sure its in my range, as I can sing it without little problem, but it sounds absolutely terrible. What used to be high for me started out like that when I tried to sing things that used to be what I considered really high, but now I can get them easily and it sounds good. Also, I have problems hitting the "woos" in songs like She Loves You, but I am sure that its within my range. After I try hitting high notes like those, the high notes below them that I can usually hit quite easily start to sound really bad. Do I just need to practice those notes until I can sing them strongly? Please help.

I would take her to the vet and not put anything in her eyes unless given the ok from the treating vet. My other cat had (a virus) as someone else mentioned and she had to be given interferon to help boost the immune system. (We're supposed to naturally have interferon in our systems too.) A vet that practices alternative as well as conventional medicine recommended that we give our cat L-lysine which is an essential amino acid to help ward off future attacks. Whatever happened to Jim Kelly? I used to think he was supposed to be the Black Bruce Lee, but of course after seeing him in Enter The Dragon, and a few other films, I know he was no where near as good as Bruce Lee was. Well, as far as games go, any older games you play might actually slow down because of a clock rate loss. But ya, provided you can get the right software, you'll see a good performance improvement. By the right software I mean newer encoders that have multithreaded support. Plus you can do more things in parallel. With the quad core the best bus speed you can get is 1333Mhz, but unless you're about to do anything highly memory intensive, you don't really need the speed. For this kind of a system I'd recommend getting a decent graphics card, as companies like Nvidia release better decoders and encoders optmized for GPUs. Basically, unless you're a compute intensive user, there's little point in making the expenditure, as most software now is barely optimized for dual core, forget quads. It's a mad scramble right now to convert software to such a model, so it's worth the wait while the manufacturers get their act together before taking the plunge.

Chest pain when running? What is normal?

I am by no means a runner but have tried many times to run(since I was 15, now I'm 26). Every time I run I feel like my heart is physically bouncing around in my chest and get chest pains in the center to right side of my chest. It starts within minutes of running and gets worse as I continue. Should I just push through it? I do cough when I'm done running so I tried an inhalor a few times but it made it either worse(increases my heart rate too) or did nothing. I've had cardiac testing done years ago(I have vasovagal syncope) but nothing abnormal was found. I never had a stress test done, do you think I should? I already walk an hour a day while pushing a stroller and remain active with my toddler all day but I just can't seem to run. I used to run everyday but it just got worse each day I tried until I was forced to give up. Once I stop running, the pain goes away within a few minutes.

Good people, I have just acquired a Meriva (Opel/Vauxhall). Now, due to the way the console ia made, it is fairly/reasonably impossible to fit a music system of your choice into it. Now, whilst browsing through Amazon sometime back, I chanced upon some I.C.E. which is something like a CD/MP3 changer with a remote control for inside the car (no need to create room to accomodate it). Need simple help with i tunes (i hope it's simple)?

My sister just got an i-pod for christmas, and i also got a psp. My psp will not tke WMA files so im using itunes to convert my songs. but at first, the songs on itunes was in a weird format that my psp would not recognize, but now i converted them all to AAC files ,which i know my psp will recognize. but another problem have came up, now i have duplicates. my itunes library is now full of duplicates and In some cases, triplets of songs that i am dieing to get rid of. Is there any way to do that without doing it one by one, like maybe to group them. I tried to just filtering out all of the AAC files but even they got duplicated for some reason. If i check a Group of song and then delete them, can i do that. i've been trying, its not working that way. is there anyway i can do that without cleaning out my whole itunes and starting over or deleting them one by one?

For the past two weeks, my throats felt very dry, my heart beating fast, i've had this bizarre dry cough, my back/lungs hurts periodcially from the coughing i guess, and I feel like I cannot get in enough air. You don't have to add toothpaste to it either, although a tiny little dab is okay. The baby can chew on it a few times a day, and it works a lot smoother if you let them do the holding. Once the baby is a bit older, perhaps about the age yours is now- I play the "you brush my teeth, I brush yours" game. I give them my toothbrush and let them brush my teeth. I then brush at theirs. Of course, I redo the job on me later. We continue to brush our teeth together for some time to come, by the way. How to replace front steps?

I have some front steps that need replacing. I demolished the cement steps that were there, they were crumbling badly. Now, should I replace them with cement steps again. How can I design them so they don't fail and crack. The old steps had a core filled tamped down dirt with walls and a slab on top (the stairs were quite large ,48" high.) Ideas for lower body workouts?

I feel like I have a great upper body, my arms and back are toned and my waist line is small for my weight. White smoke from exhaust and clanking sound?

I have a 97 Plymouth, and so far its been a VERY dependable car. For awhile I neglected it and it ran on very low oil for some months. It still runs strong, but when it idles it gets moody. And after idling when I go white smoke comes out of the exhaust. Not a whole lot, but sometimes I can see it when I look back. And also theres occasionally a clanking sound, usually around a certain RPM just before the car accelerates from, say, idling around a corner. You know when a car is overheating really bad and it has clanking noise? Its like that but a little less prevalent. But like I said, when the car is going, its as strong as it was when I got it 5 years ago. Recently there was an overheating problem but I had the thermostat replaced and its fine now. So are these major problems? I'm trying to decide if I want to sell my car for something else while I still can. What kind of money would I probably be spending when these problems develop further?

I am an adult returning student. Part of my history cl involves the holocost. Granted, horrific crimes against humanity were committed. Crimes like this should not be forgotten. But not one peep about the suffering of American GI's, who after all were the ones that fought the oppressors and freed the prisoners at concentration camps. This lopsided portrayal of facts is most evident in college english cles, where whites and males are trashed in english essay texts. I wonder how many parents know that their children are being brainwashed at the parents expense. I also wonder how many GI's are rolling over in their graves at what America has become. I know that curdled milk is not the same thing as "curds". But is there any way to make something useful out of it? I actually thought I'd try to do so, and so what I did was to strain the clear fluid off and rinse the remaining curdled matter. I did this several times with very cold water until all I had was clear drainage water and solid white "curds". I then took the solids and mashed them together until it became creamy & smooth. It looks like it could actually be turned into something useful, but I don't want to just ume. Can anything be done with it?

Automatic Transmission Problems?

Last night, I was driving - the car shows no sign of slipping at all, transmission is running FINE. I come to a stop sign, and go to turn and the gas goes fine, and within two seconds - i'm just revving my engine while i'm still in drive. So I pulled over and turned off the car after putting it in park, tried it again, and tried each gear(Reverse, Overdrive, Drive, 1st) and it just revs. Everything else works fine, and a friend came over and checked my and the gears lock in perfectly, the transmission fluid is fine - but there was a weird smell. Could a clog filter be the problem or what? It's my main car and I need answers fast. Thank you!
