I had a bunch of milk go bad (curdled). Is there any way to salvage it for anything? Some kind of cheese?

I know that curdled milk is not the same thing as "curds". But is there any way to make something useful out of it? I actually thought I'd try to do so, and so what I did was to strain the clear fluid off and rinse the remaining curdled matter. I did this several times with very cold water until all I had was clear drainage water and solid white "curds". I then took the solids and mashed them together until it became creamy & smooth. It looks like it could actually be turned into something useful, but I don't want to just ume. Can anything be done with it?
