Is this asthma or what? Please HELP, I feel horrible!!! (10 points)?

For the past two weeks, my throats felt very dry, my heart beating fast, i've had this bizarre dry cough, my back/lungs hurts periodcially from the coughing i guess, and I feel like I cannot get in enough air. I can take deep breaths, and usually don't hear sounds/wheezing when breathing in and out, but i sometimes am very chilly/shaky, and when I breathe in it feels like theres no moisture in my throat, and that im short of breath. This comes and goes, but for the last three hours its just stayed, and wont seem to quit. What do you guys think it is? When I asked my doctor, they said they dont think its asthma, but all the symptoms i've read online seem similar and I dont want to die from not getting the right treatment for whatevers wrong :( All this dry coughing/heavy breathing is making me terrfied!!! PS I have a history of hypochondria/panic attacks/anxiety/overall worrying
