Do you think police officers who are issued Tasers should have to experience them first?

I just took a qualifications course on Tasers as a police officer and agreed to Tazed as a demonstration. I think it gave me a good prospective on the use of it, though not what some civil libertarians would like.Having experienced it, I know there were no permanent effects, that I was back on my feet in seconds, and I wouldn't hesitate to use it if needed. I'm 58 yrs old and have an artificial knee, so I'm not some youngster shrugging it off
