Is there anyway to convert a WAV or MP3 to a Midi?

Is there anyway to convert audio from an MP3 or WAV to a Midi? Like as in, a program? Doing things like that by ear sounds like a lot of work, so I'd just like to know if there was a quicker way of doing it.
