Whatever happened to Martial Artist Jim Kelly?

Whatever happened to Jim Kelly? I used to think he was supposed to be the Black Bruce Lee, but of course after seeing him in Enter The Dragon, and a few other films, I know he was no where near as good as Bruce Lee was. Lots of people said Jim Kelly is quite a lousy actor. In my opinion, they are right. On screen Jim Kelly tries way too hard to show off and try to make himself look tough. He usually looks quite stiff, and almost seems to be trying to make sure the cameras are getting his best profile. At least he did'nt have to fight Bruce in Enter The Dragon. Sure they were friends, but Bruce would've destroyed Jim Kelly quite easily. John Saxon even made a better fighter in that movie than Jim Kelly.
